Darrell Rasner, RHP (4-5, 4.50)
Yankees (42-36)
Oliver Perez, LHP (5-5, 5.29)
Mets (38-39)

Scouting Report:
Yankees: Rasner will get the ball for a Subway Series start against the Mets after his earlier turn this year was washed out by rain at Yankee Stadium. His season ended last May in a start against the Mets when Endy Chavez broke Rasner's right index finger with a first-inning comebacker at Shea Stadium.

Mets: The Mariners pounced on Perez in his Tuesday start, hammering him for five runs in five innings. Aside from three strikeouts, Perez allowed seven hits -- two of which were home runs -- and he plunked a batter. While the Mets are still figuring out what to do with the flashy yet erratic lefty, manager Jerry Manuel said after Tuesday's game that the team will have to consider its options as to whether keeping Perez in the rotation would benefit the club. If he makes his next start vs. the Yankees, it could be to his advantage, because he is a career 4-1 with a 2.88 ERA against the Bronx Bombers.
