Daniel Cabrera, RHP (6-6, 4.86)
Orioles (49-55)
Mike Mussina, RHP (13-6, 3.26)
Yankees (58-45)

Scouting Report:
Orioles: It's safe to say that the Orioles 6-foot-9 right-hander is struggling. Cabrera suffered through his second consecutive start where he allowed six-plus runs, giving up seven earned runs to the Blue Jays on July 25. Tallying just one win in his last 12 starts, Cabrera has struggled with control, location and pitch selection -- even the balls that are hit for outs are the product of good solid contact. The good news for Cabrera is that he is 2-0 against the Yankees this season, defeating them at home in April and in Yankee Stadium in May. Both times the right-hander was able to go deep into the game and didn't allow more than two earned runs.

Yankees: Mussina blanked the Twins through eight innings Wednesday afternoon to pick up his 13th win. The right-hander did not walk a single batter for the third straight game. He struck out seven and scattered six hits to win his third consecutive decision. Mussina has now pitched at least six innings in each of his last 10 starts. He allowed just two Minnesota runners to reach second base, and none before the sixth inning. Mussina is 0-1 against the Orioles this season with a 13.50 ERA. In his last start against Baltimore he gave up seven runs in just 2/3 innings.
